NHS Property Services appointed Hollmark Ltd to carry out the installation of automated access gates and associated infrastructure at Leigh On Sea Primary Care Centre.
Further works included the construction of a concrete base for a designated bin store area, which was enclosed with timber fencing and fitted with wooden access gates.
Overall, the project delivers improved access control, enhanced security and upgraded site infrastructure for the Primary Care Centre. Gleeds were the appointed Contract Administrator, who commissioned Hollmark on behalf of their client, NHS Property Services Ltd.
Installation of three cantilever gates, comprising of exit gate, entrance gate and pedestrian gate (one of which sliding, and two hinged gates)
Installation of gate systems with keypads and an intercom system
Completion of associated cabling works.
Integration into the existing fire alarm system.
Enabling works involved the preparation and construction of a concrete base to support the gate installation, ensuring structural stability and durability.
Installation of new fencing to enhance site security.
Erection of a new bin storage area, including the construction of a concrete base and enclosing the area with Timber fencing and wooden access gates.
Supply and Installation of relevant signage
Clear communication and effective traffic management measures were implemented to safely redirect vehicles and pedestrians around the work areas. Temporary signage, barriers and on-site personnel were used to maintain safe access and reduce confusion.
To preserve car park capacity as much as possible, the works were carefully phased. Where feasible, higher-impact activities were scheduled outside of peak hours and undertaken out of hours to minimise disruption and maintain service continuity.
