Edgware Community Hospital is an operational health care facility providing a range of medical and clinical services to surrounding areas. The site consists of Patient Treatment areas, clinical rooms and support facilities, including recreational areas for service users.

Skill Set

  • IPAF licence for operating Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and other high-level access equipment

  • Qualified Electricians to BS7671 18th edition

  • Competent in working at height in accordance with current health and safety regulations

  • Trained and experienced in working within sensitive environments, including healthcare and mental health facilities

Scope of works

  • Installation of column street lighting in car parks and vehicle routes

  • Replacement of over 210 wall amenity lights around complete site

Onsite challenges

Works were carried out in and around mental health units, including recreational areas frequented by service users. Hollmark carefully planned and managed these activities to ensure works were completed safely, without risk to

employees, service users, or staff.

Works were undertaken at height using a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) within a live car park. Traffic management measures were implemented to ensure the safe continuation of both construction activities and site operations.
