This project, unusual for a school, requested we complete the works during term-time due to time restrictions. The 6-week program actually completed a week ahead of schedule, as the
team worked tirelessly to get the project over-the-line as quickly as possible, so as to minimise the disruption and inconvenience to the children.
A swatch board was created initially, showcasing the design features, products and accessories. This was presented to the client for approval. The project consisted of the strip- out of the existing facilities such as the cubicles, sanitaryware, flooring and the isolation of M&E. Trovex Junior Cubicle System, designed in mind for the educational environment, was selected for its practicality whilst being safe, durable and long-lasting. A dot and dob process for the application of hygienic wall cladding (half height) was applied.
A new false grid ceiling system was installed with LED panel lighting, as well as electrical adaptations to the existing configuration. A new ventilation system was installed. Each Trovex vanity unit and basin was provided with new hot water cylinders. Soft services included a Polyflor antislip vinyl flooring and painting to walls, ceilings and architrave for the final decorative finishes followed by a sealant and sparkle clean.

An unforeseen issue arose regarding fitting of the water heaters, due to a sizing restriction with the vanity encasements. Onsite adaptations to the Trovex units had to be made to allow the heaters to fit correctly.
This project was successfully completed with a high-quality outcome. The client expressed their happiness with the results, sharing feedback that the children absolutely love their beautiful new toilet facility.
