The Children’s Trust is the UKs leading charity for children with brain injury. They offer a wide range of services to children and their families, from support in the community, schooling, and residential rehabilitation. Hollmark Ltd was commissioned to install a new kitchen in their respite care centre in Tadworth, Surrey. This kitchen provides much need relief for families.

DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Full Works commenced with a full strip out of the existing areas. Followed by the installation of a complete new kitchen, redesigned lighting, and new duct work for improved ventilation. 

New easy maintenance flooring was fitted throughout. In the hallway and bathroom Whiterock, a specialist hygienic system, was installed. This was also used for the splashback in the kitchen.

ON SITE CHALLENGES

Due to working during the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, our team was limited to two people on site at any one time. To allow for this, and to complete all works to the deadline, the team followed a strict program of works, ensuring that only the correct trades were on site when needed. To remain COVID compliant extra precautions were undertaken, from additional hygiene to social distancing.
