Project Brief


Hollmark Ltd undertook a building refurbishment/reconfiguration project within Beckenham Beacon Hospital, Kent.  Beckenham Beacon, part of the Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is a health care facility specialising in urgent non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. The reconfiguration of office space and consultation rooms was completed within a live environment over a 3 phase plan. 


DESCRIPTION OF WORKS 

A full strip out of the existing areas.

Removal of all existing walls and construction of new stud walls with the implementation of structural support.

Removal and fitting of new suspended and plasterboard ceilings

Full M&E works including A/C HVAC, partial re-wiring, new power sockets and lighting throughout. 

Fitting of new alarm system, data distribution system, CCTV, electronic access controls and emergency assistant alarm and staff call system. 
Installation an above ground drainage system with hot and cold water storage supply.
Redecorations of all areas and installed new flooring throughout both carpet and vinyl.

We then fitted new Howdens Kitchen, hygiene, medical units, reception desks and benching in the offices.
Installation of fire doors with associated ironmongery as per the client specification.

Works carried out in a busy mental health area where access was limited and works out of hours.
